Description
120 thread is the typical thickness used in machine sewing, coats being the most economical option. It is staple spun polyester. It is sufficiently strong for most sewing. Tre Cerchi from coats is the cotton alternative. Also 120 thickness, but often sold as 500m reels, therefore about 4 times the cost. However Tre Cerchi is the more desirable and prestigious option because it is a natural fibre.
Thread cones are good to have in neutral colours or the colours that cloth is most often sewn with, such as black.
This thread can also be used with beeswax for hand stitches and padding lapels and canvas’s in place of handsilk.
