Handmade Black Slim Shantung Silk Tie

Description

The slim scarf to accent your hair, neck, wrist or your bag, handmade from pure shantung silk in 12 colours. The last pic is the best representation of the colour, but it cannot be guaranteed to be the exact shade.

Shantung silk is characterised by its imperfect weave stemming from the way it is harvested. Peace silk, as it is sometimes known, is taken after the silk worm leaves the cocoon and then it is woven, creating its unique texture.

As a tailor, shantung silk is often associated with bespoke morning dress waistcoats. Therefore the perks, or leftover cloth from the waistcoat can be used to make something like this hairtie.
