Description
These gunmetal single-bar side adjusters are frequently used as side tabs used in bespoke trousers, being the most common type of waistband embellishment on trousers.
The internal width of these is are 21 mm (roughly 7/8″), so the straps need to be made to fit them.
These buckles can be used on waistcoats too. I’ve read that a vest should have either back darts or strap and buckles. Some tailors don’t like using 2 prong buckles in waistcoats because it damages the straps. I find that buckles with just bars come undone constantly though and the strap shouldn’t need to be adjusted, but it is a matter of preference.
