Description
Two prong buckles are an option for making waistcoat straps. I’ve read that a vest should have either back darts or strap and buckles. The prong buckles poke through the strap to hold across the back waist.
For 30 mm (1.1/4″) strap width, so the strap has to be made to fit.
Some tailors don’t like using 2 prong buckles because it damages the straps, which is totally fair. I find that buckles with just bars come undone constantly. The way I see it the strap shouldn’t need to be adjusted, so there won’t be any excess damage to the strap from the prongs anyway.
